Geography of Poverty, MSNBC's first interactive feature project, was designed and built from scratch. As a multi-page microsite filled with beautiful photography, compelling storytelling, videos, and interactive graphics and data visualizations, this project was a pleasure to work on.

With MSNBC's Director of Photography Amy Pereira as executive producer and Sam Petulla as the sole developer and data reporter, my roles were art direction and design—including all the UI and UX of the microsite from scratch.

With the striking black and white photography and the serious subject matter, I had to create an identity and design that would match that—going with minimal colors, typography and graphics.
