Executives at MSNBC wanted an app with a news feed, watch experience, and a robust profile. Because MSNBC has a die-hard fan base, we wanted to build a product that would allow viewers to connect more with the hosts and with each other. Users would be able to take polls, which would contribute to their political ideology ranking, and quizzes, which would contribute to an overall news IQ that can be compared with other MSNBC community members. From concept to visuals, I came up with a unique system that would allow for user engagement and data monetization. The app ultimately fell through, but it was a definitely a fun learning experience.
